Sin Like The Devil by J. Rose

5.0

This book isn't just a dark romance, it has a deeper meaning to it.

"If they're the villains in my story... am I the villain in theirs?"

I'm not the biggest fan of enemies to loves but J Rose wrote it, so of course I need to read it. With Blackwood Institute in the back of my mind it made it harder for me to read this became I know how bad it can get and what happens in the background.

J Rose writing style is absolutely beautiful, it's poetic and the ways she uses to explain mental health, made me really understood the characters more.

About Raine <3

He plays violin, Ripley loves painting so they both are very creative, I love that they both share that with each other. Raine is my favorite since very early on in the book. I just had a feeling and I was right. I love that the guys are protecting of him, the guys really are found family. The conversation between him and Ripley are very beautiful. He is an open book and that is exactly what she needs, a safe place. Raine deserves the world, so many people let him down. Raine is THE golden retriever boyfriend!

About Ripley

She's a powerful woman and a baddie. I love Ripley so much! She deserves all the love she can get. I would never judge her, I just met her. She does what she have to do in order to survive.

About Xander

There is a lot that happened to him and everyone acts in different ways, it's horrible what happens behind closed doors. Xander doesn't know how to deal with it all and I'm not judging the characters for how they deal with their feelings, I just wished they hadn't done certain things.

About Lennox

Lennox is very protective over the people he loves, it's not a good idea to be on his bad side. He has his past and the things that he did. It all seems so simple, he hates her and that's it. But feelings are completed and now he's confused. I do understand why he choice Xander and Raine as family.

They just all need so much love to start healing. I really think that they can find that with each other with enough time.

They all went through a lot and that shows in different ways, over protective, scared to feel, doing everything to keep the people you love safe. The characters are reliable in their own ways.

"Survival is a personal thing. Sometimes, it looks a whole lot like self-destruction."

I gave this book 5 stars ⭐, I'm very excited for the next book in the serie. Chapter 13 is my favorite chapter! It was so beautiful. "I see you, Ripley Bennet" yeah I almost cried.

"Breaking isn't always a loud, cataclysmic implosion of a person. Sometimes it's silent."

There was a lot of information about the characters and the litter crumbs from the Blackwood Institute characters made me so happy.

The Characters from 1-4 (book 1)

1. Raine
2. Ripley
3. Xander
4. Lennox

I read this book as an ARC. Thank so much for the opportunity
