Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

emotional reflective sad medium-paced
A memoir that will make you a bit sad and hungry at the same time, Zauner discusses her relationship with her mother in this and grieving her passing. Through her mother she was connected to Korean culture, especially food. There are a lot of descriptions of delicious sounding food along with a vulnerable narrative. This also made me appreciate Japanese Breakfast's music a lot more, I'd especially recommend her album Jubilee.
