Dragons of Spring Dawning
by Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman
A fantastic ending to an awesome trilogy. This is definitely making me curious to find out what's next for DragonLance and glad I randomly began reading these books.
Plot: 4
Very nicely plotted, different threads picking up and dropping throughout the series. Person you see in Book 1 reappearing in Book 3 etc. etc. pretty large in scope. I did not have time to stop in the middle and be bored. As series progressed Book after Book it kept getting better and better!
Characters: 4
So maybe not entirely very fair rating of 4 as characters were really pretty stereotypical. However, there were so many of them that I just did not get a chance to be bored wth any of them. Story jumps back and forth and hooks you in multiple threads of fate. That made the book and characters feel more fleshed out to me, and someone was always up to something...
Setting: 4
Setting of D&D and DragonLance are super new to me, I never played table top, just like the fantasy setting and stories with magic. I thought it would feel like a video game, and it did not. Very immersive for me.
All in all I'm definitely looking forward to reading some more DragonLance! You should too!
