I really liked Ditlevsen's style of prose that was simple yet descriptive and I liked how this is a memoir but reads a lot like a novel. The first two parts, Childhood and Youth, resonated with me more than the final part which felt a little disconnected from the rest of the book and ended kind of abruptly.
