After a lifetime of doing what everyone expects of her, Winter is taking back her life. That just happens to come in the form of a one night stand with a cocky, sexy bull rider named Theo.

I loved this book, it is my favourite in the series and I normally hate accidental pregnancy tropes.  I wasn't sure about reading Winter's book, because I really hated her character, but I am so glad that I did. Her story is a heartbreaking redemption story. Spiteful mother, neglectful father, sister pitted against her, husband who literally groomed her underage sister. Of course she has trust issues! Who wouldn't!?

I loved how patient and understanding Theo was with Winter. He accepted her for who she was and never tried to change her. He gave her something she had never really had before - respect and unconditional love.
When he found out about Vivi, he seamlessly stepped into the role of partner and father. He supported Winter in every way possible. This is what a PARTNER looks like!
I really enjoyed seeing Winter's transformation as she learned to love herself and accept love from others.

I LOVE the relationship between all of the family members and how they welcomed and rallied around Winter when she needed them. Also I really appreciate that we saw her mending her relationship with her father and ditching the toxic relationships in her life.

I don't really understand the 18 month gap. Does he never return to the town? Rhett never happened to mention it to him? Though I get that this is plausible, 18 months seems like a long time span.

Tropes: small town, accidental pregnancy, single parent, grumpy/sunshine
