4.25ish stars for me! This is Piper's first new book in a while and with a new co-author, too! I'm so excited to get into new writing from her and this book did not disappoint. It's hilarious, endearing, sweet, full of feels, and I'm in desperate need of more.
Jude is a young college kid down on his luck when he happens to witness a crash landing - and the alien is the sweetest guy ever! Named Al, since his alien name isn't pronounceable, Jude takes him back and hides him while Al tries to figure out a way to reach home and his parents.
OK, I LOVE Al. His hatred of English, his literal use of all the words, his panic spiral over daylight savings time (I get it Al, I don't know why we do it either!!) just made him an absolute sweetie. I adored him trying to figure out everything. I also loved his friendship with Jude's friends and also how gone he was for Jude.
I do wish there had been a bit better communication between the two haha despite me talking all about Al and his use of English. Look, miscommunication tropes are my most disliked in all of romance and while this didn't completely cross over into the Big Misunderstanding territory, there were some points throughout the story that I just wished these two would TALK to each other.
This was SUCH a fun story! And yes, while the typical things that come along with omega verse are not present, we all know how Piper loves her eggs LOL.
Also - can we get stories for Ezra and Corbin? (specially Ezra omg he needs a hot alien of his own!) Maybe one of them with Kyle!

I think that had there been maybe like a bit more explanation of Jude's self-worth issues, of a bit more consideration for how he was feeling, I wouldn't have felt like he was being such a jerk at certain points of the story to Al. Who I adore. Like, I almost was worried that I would leave this story thinking Al was too good for Jude or that Jude didn't do enough to make up for things that were said haha.This was SUCH a fun story!
