The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton

Trigger warnings: violence, murder, espionage, lying, betrayal

I didn't realize this would be my last read of the year when I started it but it was really good! It had kind of a slow start for me, it definitely took me awhile to get invested in the story. However, it got better and better the more the story went on and I oriented myself more with the lore in this world. I did not expect the pirates described in this book to be quite like they were haha. I definitely thought it'd be something more traditional, but once I got the hang out it, it was actually really cool! I also laughed a lot! The writing style is really funny and I thought the relationships in the book were all really interesting. I wish there would've been just a little bit smaller of a cast because I got confused a time or two with names, but the main group of characters were all super entertaining. The romance was a super cute enemies-to-lovers with a bunch of banter. I liked them a lot separately and together and I appreciated how their relationship took some time to develop. I hope the rest of the series is just as entertaining!
