The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger
1.0

Between the multiple side stories involving incest, violence against women, and sex-trafficking that was down-played as a “woman’s duty” and stoicism, this book was insulting. Add to it the over-arching racism used to progress the story and at times was used as white-saviorism? No thanks. I’m shocked it received such rave reviews. Finished it only because I had to know the (convoluted) ending and discover who killed Jimmy Quinn.
