This book was so imaginative and handled difficult, heavy topics with such care and grace. I’m not usually much of an annotator, but I saved so many quotes from this novel. Aoki’s writing style is so descriptive and vivid, especially in her discussions of music and food. I really appreciate the level of care that went into the creation of this fantastic story, and Katrina is a character who will stay with me for a very long time.
