The Spymaster's Lady
by Joanna Bourne
this was more of a 3.5 stars read for me but i am rounding it up bc i think my disappointment with it stems from all the hype this book had which created expectations in me and made me conjure up a certain idea of the plot and characters which i would have dispelled if i had bothered to read the synopsis.
the enemies to lovers aspect was rather well done, but overall, the first half was better than the second half, mostly bc i did not care for the MMC nearly as much during the second half. i also have some issues with suspending disbelief and some things being way too convenient but i wont get into specifics bc of spoilers.
