A cozy read. Maybe reading it at home in the cold weather would have made a better setting than the hot Florida beach. I enjoyed watching Grimalkin pass through the 18th century, but I do wish we could have explored more of each time period. In some ways, the passage of time made me sad, the glorious 7/7 Marchmount Crescent home slowly devolving from a stately manner, and a place of pride to dilapidated student housing in disrepair. I wonder if it is time for a longer read, I find myself reaching for shorter books or "quick wins" only to force myself to read a story that isn't necessarily nurturing or challenging me.
