This book hit me much harder than WWII historical fiction. While I know that there were extreme atrocities that happened in concentration camps, this books first-hand account was heart wrenching. I really appreciated Weisel's honesty when talking about questioning his faith and God.

I listened to the audio book and loved that at the end was his speech from when he received the Nobel Peace Prize in the 80s.
