I'm not really sure how to feel about this book. I was completely gripped at the beginning but I lost a lot of interest by the middle section - I'm not really sure why we spend so much time in the "game" section of the story? The various intrigues just didn't intrigue me after a while... maybe I didn't pay enough attention to all the different characters/colours/rules etc to fully grasp the meaning, idk. I'll probably continue reading the series just to see, as it seems like the second book will get into the bit I'm actually interested in?
