“whether it’s pottery or life, it takes more than one attempt for them to come out right. and all that effort makes the end product more valuable, too.”

as expected, very cheesy but heartwarming. a perfect read during the transition of seasons, literally or metaphorically. i mean, i picked this up because someone put it on their list of books to read in your twenties! the slow pace matches the beauty of introspection, learning the world differently by exploring creative outlets, and how enriching community can be.

most of my issues with this novel, however, have a lot to do with the structure at some points. the change in focus to secondary characters, thrown in plot points that don’t really serve the overall message, and the lack of smooth transitions within the structure were a bit jarring.
