I'm glad this book exists and is starting conversations about domestic violence and breaking the cycle of abuse. It may not be a literary gold star, but it will give you major feelings.
My only critique: I loved the character of Atlas, but...Hoover says in her author note that she specifically wrote the book so Lily wasn't saved by a knight in shining armor. While I'm glad Lily ultimately saved herself, I think the story would have been more impactful if it didn't use Atlas and Lily's romance as a plot device.
