The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante

Brilliant no one writes angry women better. Even if you wouldn't act as she does her motivations and reactions were so clear. Mario is such a wet fish I hated him. The describition of the chaotic day of chaos was so stressful! I had to read over several sittings even though it's not very long. The key a trapped marrige metaphor perhaps? Lots to read into but still so fresh and realisticly grounded. A must read for women,  although wasn't sure about the ending would have preferred if it ended after her conversation with her husband. An amazing book got me out of a mini slump.
