Swamp Thing, Volume 3: Rotworld: The Green Kingdom by Scott Snyder

3.0

Farewell Scott Snyder. You had a really good run.

No, Snyder's ending to Swamp Thing isn't breathtaking or gut-wrenching, but I felt it was a decent one. A lot of people had wondered why the New 52 series continued because they saw this as a fitting end to the series--but not me. Damn, I CAN'T GET ENOUGH SWAMP THING! Of course they continued the series because this was one of the few New 52 series that people actually enjoyed. I know that sounds harsh, but several of the New 52's fell flat such as Superman and Batwoman resulting in DC comics cancelling several of their series. But Swamp Thing was not one of the unfortunate few.

I wasn't quite as allured with this third volume as I was with the first two and it's probably because I didn't read its sister series New 52 Animal Man (which I REALLY want to read now). The 4th volume has been getting a lot of buzz and I can't wait to see what Charles Soule has done to make everyone so happy.
