Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

3.75 stars rounded up to 4. Very cute and charming story about a villain and his assistant. My two biggest problems with this book:
1. A lot of things happen but also nothing happens...this book is the definition of "vibes". I thought I would get through it much faster since it's less than 350 pages, but I found myself struggling! It doesn't mean it's badly written but I think next book needs to be paced a little faster.
2. This book is a romance and it is slow. Fucking. Burn. Like...the hare has lapped the tortoise 20 times slow. I'm all for a slow burn romance--and clearly this book is a series--but I needed a little more to keep me going. The romance is also very PG so far, and I don't need it to be R or X-rated but a tad more PG-13.
Above being said, the vibes were IMMACULATE and the cliffhanger!! Consider me hung! I will definitely be reading the next in the series.
