A lot of books have been the opposite - male character is addicted to drugs and alcohol and the female is the sober, careful, one. I know Averie went through a traumatic event and turned to substances as a coping mechanism, but it’s good to read a book where the tables are turned. Some parts were very emotional and got me thinking about how much pressure and responsibilities (health wise) Ashton has.
Reading that football final scent felt like I was watching an NFL game, that championship game was intense and I couldn’t read fast enough to see who won haha it was a great book and I most def recommend it.
