Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig

1.0

You want to know something crazy? I read this book in August 2024 and didn’t remember it and it took me until 54% to realize that I had actually finished this book before. But it was so utterly unforgettable that I had to finish it to remember it and even then I have ZERO memory of it. And I truly don’t care about this book at all. The last… 7% was fantastic. But I couldn’t get past the main love story and how absolutely full of red flags it was due to the nature of the cards. I’m in the middle of learning about victim empathy, specifically the Emily Doe/Brock Turner case, which is probably not helping but I just couldn’t get past it. And outside of that, it’s boring as hell. You’re told everything over and over again and if this was middle grade I’d understand it but it’s not so it’s unforgivable.
