I think part of the reason I have been enjoying this series so much is because of the audiobook narrator's comforting British accent. Honestly, the mysteries themselves are pretty standard - enjoyable but not necessarily memorable. The reader's voice raises them a notch for me. I do also enjoy the two lead characters and the subtle spark between them.
These have been comfort reads for me and I already have the next one on hold.
