Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult, Samantha van Leer
Did not finish book.
It's official. I'm in a reading rut. Maybe this book wouldn't have seemed quite so bad if I hadn't read several 2 star books before it.
However, I found the writing simple and the characters bland. The plot seemed to be going no where. I was very bored and dreaded picking up this book. After 130 pages, I decided to call it a day. And you know what? I don't have the slightest desire to flip to the end to see how everything turned out. I simply don't care.
To give the authors credit, I think preteens might enjoy this one. Although I can't rate it for content as I have not finished reading this book.
