My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell

1.0

1) I couldn’t put it down, I had to keep reading in hopes that that Vanessa’s tragic yet static character would become dynamic and really come to terms with what happened to her and how she could change the future world for girls to come, I know that’s not how life always works but it’s supposed to be fiction so I still hoped for change.
2) so many literary references. like we get it. you are obsessed with Lolita. I got it the first 50 times you mentioned it.
3) THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS??? “the self proclaimed nymphets and their abuse that looked like love”. Excuse me, this is not love- it doesn’t look like love, it looks like pedophilia and abuse.
