Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster by Svetlana Alexiévich

challenging dark reflective sad fast-paced

5.0

One of the best books I've read in a while. I'm on a bit of a Chernobyl kick after re-watching the fantastic HBO series, and the podcast recommended this book.

It is truly crushing and heart-breaking to read at times, but I think it is important to hear and understand these people's stories.
