Web of Lies by Jennifer Estep

4.0

I really enjoyed this (even more than Spider's Bite), it's face paced and fun. Gin is still kicks and a bit insane/sociopath but we really get to see more of her character, the conflict with Donovan really helps define her for the reader (not that I actually like Donovan as a romantic interest). I also felt like Gin's character was more cohesive- in Spider's Bite it seemed weird that she went to such pains to point out that everybody she killed was a 'baddie' when she is apparently a cold blooded killer, but in Web of Lies I understood more of her motivations for her decisions.

The world is really interesting, I feel like the magic works well and really adds to the story. My only issue was that the secondary plot seemed to have no real connection to the main plot.
