R F Kuang knows the best way to build me up and tear me down, which isn’t surprising given the arc our darling Rin is on.

The betrayal?!? Next level - other worldly. I can’t wait for this to burn my heart out of my chest.

TDR was a much easier read than TPW. You already have the lore and the band aid has been well and truely ripped off in terms of trauma. It gives you more mental space to really feel the pain of every twist and turn as you go from opium addict to the greatest weapon of war.
