The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan

4.0

I just don’t like Lester/Apollo as a narrator. He became more bearable closer to the end once he began to care about other people more, but before that he was overly dramatic and self-absorbed and ruined perfectly good moments by opening his stupid mouth. There were also some things (like Georgina recovering, for instance) that just weren’t explained. Those are really my only complaints, though. The book was action-packed, engaging, and filled with the signature Riordan humor and sarcasm. I absolutely loved the found family at the Waystation, and all of the relationships between the characters were very sweet.
Overall, this was very nostalgic to read. Before this, I hadn’t read a Rick Riordan book in a few years, and I’d forgotten how much of an experience they are.
