I loved Lacey and I loved Shawn on their own in the first book, so I was super excited to see this book was about them. These two are great on their own, but they’re even better together. They have such killer chemistry.
Shawn was protective, maybe one of the most protective MMCs I’ve ever read about, and it was so sweet. He and Lacey both had such big hearts, and their sunshiny-ness was infectious.
Unfortunately, my timing was less than ideal, what with the events that happened in the US this week, and that slowed me down a bit. I would tend to zone out, but that had less to do with the writing and more to do with my mental state.
