The Unraveling of Cassidy Holmes by Elissa R. Sloan
4.0
Actual rating: 4.5/5 stars
This was such a good book! It was fun and heartbreaking, all at the same time. I loved seeing the "behind the scenes" of early 2000s pop star life and how fame affected each of the girls so differently. It was engrossing and fun, just what I wanted. I really can't believe this has such middling reviews-- I thought it was fantastic!
Literally my only complaint about the book was that the ending didn't really build up to anything. There ended up not being a true climax, which didn't necessarily take away from my enjoyment considering the book had clearly stated where we were heading in both timelines, but it did make the ending feel just like the book ended, nothing more. Like it needed a spot to end, so there it ended.
