I'm begging everyone who hasn't read this book yet, to PLEASE read it!

this book was scary in a way that a lot of dystopian books aren't.... because of how realistic it is...
there are a lot of good dystopian novels, but sometimes you're reading one and you're like "yeah this is a good book, but this would never happen like this irl." not with this one. it's so scary in that way. this book should honestly be classified as a horror book because I've never been more terrified in my life.

and you know what doesn't help? the fact that my country is close to elections and the far-right is rising...

but honestly, what scares me isn't even just my country. it's what's happening in places like the U.S (which is where this book takes place) with Mr. Orange (seriously, how did y'all elect that thing again?)... I'm honestly so scared for American women and LGBTQ+ folks and people of colour and disabled people who DIDN'T vote for this shit. I'm so sorry ❤️

but onto the actual story. I've read other books with similar writing styles to this, when it comes to dialogue and I honestly don't mind it. but I can see this being annoying to some people.

I also desperately want to know what happened to the main character... I have so many questions...

Fascismo nunca mais. (Fascism never again.) (it's a saying from Portugal, we just celebrated 51 years without a far-right dictatorship).
