Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

4.0

My sister practically shoved this book at me with a glowing recommendation, so I picked it up and started reading it today.

I read the whole thing in two hours. I couldn’t put it down.

Ellie Mack went missing years ago. Her mother never recovered, never had closure. Until one day, the police call with information, bones, and a backpack. And the story is JUST starting.

Oh my goodness this was incredible. It’s so much more than the typical missing daughter type book. I was hooked from the first chapter. It’s told from multiple perspectives, in the past and in the present, but it’s written so well that it’s not confusing at all.

TOP. NOTCH. THRILLER. Highly recommend.
