The Boy and His Ribbon by Pepper Winters

Did not finish book.

DNF because i suck at reading romance. Still.

I would recommend this book to romance readers based on the ending (Like the end of Book 2 not just book 1) alone even though i read just 18 chapters of the first book.

Let me just say though ending aside, the writing was kinda crappy and really doesn't help getting you emotionally invested in the characters'. Ren sounded like all those FULL GROWN ADULT MC's you read about in your typical romance books. There wasn't a lot of investment on the writer's part in making Ren's story more heartfelt or even trying to make the love story more organic. Right from when Ren and Della are "thrown" together you can tell with the words the author uses, that she was straight up pushing for a romance angle which was honestly really weird. I mean they were kids...

I mean can people not live together without developing sexual feelings for each other like that? Gross!!

Anyways the ending probably made up for the not so good writing so if you enjoy romance, read this or maybe read a couple of chapters and skip to like chapter 50 of the second book and read down from there.
