This was a dark and nasty body horror book. It’s very problematic and uses some outdated, racist terms in it. However, it was a fascinating story about a man who is on the receiving end of a weight loss curse as it gradually takes his life. It’s disturbing and horrific, but I didn’t care for the characters, which made it fall flatter for me than I would have liked.
