A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

5.0

Okay, so I'm always a bit unsure and reluctant about very hyped up books. That's also why it took me some time to read this one, but oh boy, why did I?? This was SOOOO good!
I did listen to it via audiobook (which had a full cast btw) and I really do believe that was the best decision for this story, especially because of the multi-media elements. Mystery/Thriller isn't a genre I usually gravitate towards a lot, but I'm so glad I gave it a try. The story was engaging, addictive, and the more clues Pip got, the more entangled everything became, and as a reader I just wanted to know what happened. I also really loved Ravi and the way his grief was depicted really touched me. The other side characters were (at least the good ones) loveable and with the huge plot twist(s) at the end, I felt for some of them quite a bit. I will definitely continue this series as I cannot wait to get to know what will happen to Pip and Ravi now, and which paths they'll take. A new favourite - I really should try out genres I don't usually read more often! :)
