I really enjoyed this book. It was highly entertaining and a wonderful read. The characters were quite funny as they dealt with their trip around the world. I did especially enjoy that although Phileas Fogg was the central character, he wasn't the only main character. I loved the servant and how he became so prominent in the story telling and in the adventure. I also especially enjoyed Detective Fix and his antics to first stop Mr. Fogg and then to aide Mr. Fogg. It had an absurd quality that made the story that much more enjoyable. I also enjoyed Aouda's character although she wasn't necessarily as important. She was still a strong female presence even though she needed to depend on the male characters of the book.
