Mr. Broody
by Piper Rayne
I absolutely loved this book. Henry, Jade, and sweet little Bodhi have a special place in my heart. Henry and Jade’s story is the perfect second-chance romance. They fell in love at a young age. After college, and when Henry's hockey career was about to start, he broke up with Jade because he didn't want to hold her back. After eight years apart, Jade returned home, and their reunion at a bar reignited old feelings. Despite being apart and navigating obstacles, they had an undeniable connection and were ready to give love another chance.
This is such a sweet and emotional story! Henry and Jade were truly meant to be together. I totally understood the decisions Henry made when they went their separate ways. Did I agree with him? Not really. Reading those moments was heartbreaking, but maybe their relationship was better because of the time they had to focus on themselves. Second-chance romance is one of my favorite tropes, and their journey back to each other made my heart happy. I loved little Bodhi and his meddling. The chapters in his POV were the cutest, and I loved how well Jade and Bodhi connected. Mr. Broody is filled with humor, fun banter, all the swoon, sizzling spice, and a wonderful found family element.
Narration:
The audiobook did not disappoint. When I saw a full cast of some of my favorites were involved, I knew it would be a good time. Brooke Bloomingdale and JF Harding did a fantastic job giving voices to Jade and Henry. They brought so much life to the characters and captured every emotion. I ADORED Teddy Hamilton as Bodhi. The entire cast was phenomenal. JF Harding, Brooke Bloomingdale, Troy Duran, Connor Crais, Sean Masters, Teddy Hamilton, and CJ Bloom are super-talented narrators/voice actors. It truly does not get any better than having them all on one audiobook.
