This book was so jam packed with tense moments! From the very beginning, crazy shit was going down, and I loved every second of it. The relationship between Nick and Carlo was everything I was hoping it would end up being. Carlo at times felt like the damsel in destress, but he also proved that he was tough as nails, and smart as a whip. I absolutely hated his father, and was so pleased when he got to kick his ass to the curb at the end. As for Nick, I wanted to slap him silly after every single time he bailed on telling Luca what was happening! Every single time more things got piled on and he kept his mouth shut, I wanted to shake him! But with every twist and turn, he was there for Carlo, and seeing him open up and be vulnerable with his words while they were at the beach house was just so sweet. I loved the action in this book, I loved the mystery, I loved the emotions. It was just a great read all around.
