A well-meaning coworker spotted this on my desk and said, "You're still reading those?"
I lapsed into a quick-speak plot description, complete with hand waving and eye rolling. She paused, and said, "Yet...you're still reading them."
Oh, coworker. Don't you understand?
A) These books are such fluff, they're finished in about 3-4 hours.
B) If I don't read them, how can I properly mock them?
And
C) You don't look away from really awful car wrecks, do you?
