Not as bad as the rap it gets. Honestly, more redundant than anything. It's actually really nice that monthly comics have developed a more long-form approach, because these books from the 90s illustrate a rather exhausting tendency to beat the same story beats over and over and over. Still, I still think the underlying story here is sound, and pretty fun, all in all.
