I thought it was cute and very much idealistic. Like there’s no way a Tech CEO would care that much about employees being stressed. They’re very much like “I’m stressed too!” There were some realistic things like only hiring people with 4 year degrees from elite colleges and the judgement. Also, some spoofs like the dude presenting on NFTs at SparkCon. I think it’s a fun, quick listen.
Vee works at the commissary at Grapeengine & she has a kid named Oz who is on the spectrum. She finds someone’s badge, and her best friend Bilal tells her to enter SparkCon to win $10,000. The girl she’s impersonating just happens to be on parental leave. She adjusts the autism app she made for Oz to basically pulse employees on their stress levels. Somehow, it scans you? She wins then works on the app with Troy, one of the founders who is also engaged to their COO. Honestly, I think Marcus was a better guy. He calls Troy out on his elitist attitude. He was really sweet and funny. Troy is like I’m an engineer who doesn’t feel & you made me feel. You’re ~not like other girls~ (like my fiancée). Boo Troy. Love Keith Powers though.
It’s an all-star audible cast with Queen Latifah, Coco Jones & Keith Powers. I’m not upset I listened to this book at all.
