The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin

5.0

Very simply written, flows incredibly well. Arguably too well - it reads so quickly one has to force oneself to pause and reflect lest the message of the passage dissipate into thin air.

I would call it a 'meditative' read. Though it nominally refers to art throughout, there is no instruction in the book so much as proposed ways to contemplate, see, and live one's life.

Have already recommended it to a number of friends.
