Splintered Hearts by LS Phoenix

4.0

This book broke my heart at first, and then it slowly healed it piece by piece.
Rory and Garret were each other first and only love. They had love, a family and all they could ask for. Then tragedy happened and we saw them fall appart. Rory couldn't get past her grief and depression and pushed him away.
We could feel everything Rory was feeling through all the words the author gives us. She was in a bad place and could not believe he was better with her.
They ended and several years passed, but even appart they loved one another.
One day, he comes back to his home town and finds her again. All the feelings were alive as before, so slowly he started getting closer to her once again. But things weren't easy. Even if lighter there would always be grief. Could they mend what was broken? Or would all the bad feelings resurface and keep them away again?
It was heartwarming seeing all the love they had for each other and how, mainly him, wanted to take care of her in all the ways possible.
As they start to reunite some danger happens and what then? Will they be ok?
I really enjoyed both main characters but the side ones played also a huge part in making me love this book. I can't wait for Sutton's turn!
