This book is so incredibly heartbreaking. The trauma. I had a love/hate relationship with the fact that it’s told from the perspective of a child. It made it so much harder for me to get through sometimes but also that much more endearing in other parts. Y’all, I was fully emotionally invested 🙃 A booksta friend had told me I would like this one, and I wish I could remember who it was, but they were so right!

Likes: child’s POV, fast paced, descriptive storytelling, mental health lingo

Dislikes: none- but check trigger warnings!
