Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
5.0
This book is honestly one of the best that I have read all year. I'm not even sure if i can find the words to say how much i loved it, and how much it moved me. Action packed. Tense. Exciting. Drama-filled. This book made me anxious and sad; it made me feel like i couldn't breathe, like my heart was racing; it made me smile uncontrollably with the sheer cuteness and sweetness and the depth of the emotions that Suzanne Collins could portray. All in all, incredible!
Katniss has defied the Capitol by coming out of the Hunger Games alive with Peeta, and she knows that she will pay for it. With threats against her and her loved ones, namely her family, Gale, and Peeta, Katniss is trying to behave, but it's just not in her nature. She is the girl on fire, and she has sparked a passion in the Districts that hasn't been seen in 75 years. Uprisings are on the horizon, and Katniss must figure out her place in all of it, as well as try to convince the Capitol to spare her life, and the lives of her family.
