The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore

While long and a little slow, this book is densely packed with information about the history of labor rights, radiation science, and the struggle that the radium girls endured toward the end of their lives. An important book but not a very fun read, the author focuses on making the reader grieve for the loss of each woman, this is written to inform, not to entertain.
