Maid for Love by Marie Force
1.0
I feel bad writing this review because after all the book was free. But it got on my last nerve.
This book was completely unrealistic. The couple meets because Mac ran into Maddy with his bike, injuring her. A few hours later, he's moved into her apartment, taking care of her son, taking over her job etc. Within 2 days they're discussing marriage.
Maddy's a complete doormat who does nothing to actually improve her life. I don't mind a Cinderella story, but if it's placed in the present day, some initiative on the part of the "heroine" would be nice. Maddy was labeled a slut in high school. 10 years later, she's living in the same town, hearing the same insults, and just accepts being treated terribly. Between the slut shaming and the "heroine" who takes zero initiative to improve her own life, this was a really angering read.
