I can't say I loved it personally, but I do think it was technically well-written. Parts of it are a little soap-y and far-fetched. It's an incredibly interesting time to inhabit. Kristin Hannah has this way of making something non-human into a character. The book's settings and the Vietnam War itself is almost personified as a character.
