Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell
3.0

I enjoyed this book....although not as much as I had hoped. It was better than a typical three star, but not good enough for four. Each time I sat down to read, I felt myself drawn into a very relaxing world with a much slower pace of life. Unfortunately, I think Lizzy Bennett has spoiled me for any female heroine. I could never bring myself to connect with Molly. I did appreciate how each character had a combination of positive traits as well as a few annoying features. The plot was a bit predictable (expect for what happened at the very end....that did take me by surprise), and having the "science guy" get the girl in the end is, I guess, why they call it fiction. As a "science guy" myself, I know that just doesn't happen....regardless of what you might have seen on the Big Bang Theory! ;-)
