What a mess. I hate it when NA romances contain just about every possible tragedy to push the plot. I have 5 hours remaining in my audiobook and I couldn't possibly imagine what else could still happen. I don't want to stick around till the end because I'm getting stressed out by how depressing this book is. And not in a good way! You know how there are some books that are MEANT to be sad? This is just downright awful. It's expecting readers to feel redeemed by their love for each other. BLEAGH. I had to go through the 1 star reviews to find out how it all ends and booooy am I glad I decided to jump ship. Dead parents, shitty roommates, a car accident, a coma, multiple concussions, an opportunistic brother, a stalker, a shitty boyfriend and tons of other bad things. Girl can't catch a break.
The tipping point for me was when they decided to have sex all night and day after the heroine experienced a panic attack. He kept asking her what she needed and he obliged. Dude. DUDE. This is a baaaaad bad book and please don't believe the high rating.
