 I have watched a documentary on this family, but since Shari was largely isolated from her family by then, we don’t get to hear much from her. I appreciated an internal look at what her life was like, both while under her mother’s thumb, and after. The gaslighting in here is unreal, and the triumph of escape bittersweet. As someone who escaped a narcissistic parent, I can understand.
